Our Story
History
From a small group of diaspora volunteers to a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) - how Hyderabad Foundation USA came to be.
How We Began
Hyderabad Foundation USA was founded by a group of Hyderabad-origin professionals living in the United States who recognized a gap between the resources of the diaspora and the needs of the city they grew up in. What began as informal fundraising for a single hospital project grew into a structured nonprofit committed to systemic, long-term change.
The Foundation was formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors committed to financial transparency and programmatic excellence. We keep administrative overhead minimal - every board member serves without compensation, and the Foundation has no paid staff.
